INOKO

[Inoko](http://inoko.fr) : The excellence of industrial E-commerce, from 3D to your trunk
How to transform a machining workshop into a successful e-commerce brand? The Inoko project is Alcyde's concrete answer to this challenge. More than just a range of kits for vans, Inoko is a demonstration of our total mastery of the production chain.
The Genesis: A product born from industrial optimization
The idea behind Inoko is simple: to offer removable, robust, and aesthetic campervan layout kits. But behind this apparent simplicity lies precision engineering.
To make this project an e-commerce success, we had to overcome three major challenges from the design stage:
-
- **Modularity**: Creating parts that adapt to many vehicles without expensive custom-made solutions.
Material optimization: Maximizing every millimeter of our panels (Birch, poplar) to reduce the final price.
E-commerce logistics: Designing kits whose dimensions allow shipping via Chronopost standards, thus avoiding the prohibitive costs of special carriers.
Step 1: 3D Modeling and Design Office
Everything starts on our screens. Each part of the kit is designed in CAD to guarantee a perfect fit (CNC machined mortise and tenon system).
This is where the product's profitability is determined:
Strategic Nesting: We calculate the placement of parts on the panels to achieve a minimal scrap rate.
"Flat-Pack" design: Each piece of furniture is designed to be shipped flat, like a giant puzzle, thereby optimizing storage and transport volume.
Step 2: CNC Machining and Quality Control
Once the design is validated, our machining centers in Toulouse take over. The repeatability of our machines guarantees that the kit produced today will be strictly identical to the next one.
Micrometric precision: Essential so that assembly remains simple for the end user.
Careful finishing: Deburring and sanding integrated into our production flow for a ready-to-assemble product.
Step 3: Logistics and Standardized Shipping
Inoko's success also relies on our ability to deliver anywhere in France at a competitive rate.
By working on the dimensions of the parts right from the CAD phase, we managed to fit our kits (even the sliding bed!) into the standard delivery sizes (Chronopost/DPD).
Controlled weight: Choice of light but resistant technical materials.
Robust packaging: Design of custom-made cardboard boxes protecting the edges of the wooden parts during transport.
